On the seventh day after Lu Shen moved into his new apartment, his childhood friend Chen Lang showed up at the door, luggage in hand. With their brotherhood being what it was, Lu Shen agreed without a second thought. But within days of moving in, Chen Lang started having his girlfriend Jiang Yue over every other day. The two would get all lovey-dovey on the living room sofa, carrying on shamelessly, and every time they'd righteously tell Lu Shen to stay in his bedroom. That evening, Jiang Yue came over again. Lu Shen swallowed his anger and holed up in his room, cranking his headphone volume to the max. When he finally couldn't hold it in anymore and came out for some air, only Jiang Yue was left in the living room—fast asleep on the sofa, wrapped in a thin blanket that had somehow slipped to the floor.
