A gentle trap in a golden cage

Lu Xing is the youngest observer at the research institute. Hot-tempered yet razor-sharp, he is dubbed the "Demon Observer" by his colleagues. He is assigned to watch over Sakura Miyamoto—a "child of calamity" with golden pupils, ageless and immortal. Over the centuries, Sakura's people were hunted to near extinction for bounties, leaving only him and his missing sister. Every day, Sakura tries to break out, and every day, Lu Xing drags him back.
