Conrad Ashby was an anxiety-prone human teenager who, by some twist of fate, had transferred into a school full of beastfolk. She didn't have many talents—her one defining trait was that the more nervous she got, the harder it was to hide those white rabbit ears. The only empty seat left in class was next to Eamon Draven, a black panther beastman notorious for his stone-cold demeanor and utter contempt for anything he deemed weak. As Lyra settled in cautiously, she accidentally bumped the desk, jolting Drake awake from his nap. In that instant, the temperature in the classroom seemed to plummet.
