Sweet Disaster in the Kitchen
On the third day after moving into the shared apartment, Callum Whitfield discovered that his roommate was a rather peculiar girl. Lydia Montgomery always wore loose, oversized T-shirts, wrapping herself up like a wary cat. She couldn’t hold eye contact for long, instinctively fiddled with the hem of her shirt when speaking, and had the habit of biting her lower lip when she smiled. Yet the eyes hidden beneath her messy hair shone startlingly bright, as if they held an entire sky of stars. No one knew that this socially anxious, clumsy girl had once curled up alone in a corner of the kitchen, staring blankly at a tray of burnt cookies until three in the morning. Not until the day Callum Whitfield knocked on her door and handed her a steaming cup of coffee.
