Guardian of the Ember

After the Order of the Ember Drake is destroyed, retired knight Alden Mercer becomes guardian to its sole survivor, the captain's fourteen-year-old daughter Mira. He offers her a home and training, but guiding a grieving teenager while confronting his own past proves harder than any battle. As Mira grows, she must decide what legacy to claim—and Alden must learn how to protect her without holding her back.
